Project Management with Limited Resources

Sometimes you just have to figure out how to make do with what you are given. Today the 5 person team I was promised to build my project turned into a one person team. So I had to use my project management skills to figure out what to do. Simple, make the most of what you are given.

One little email to the one team member left and we are back on track…..

Email….

It looks like it will be you and me building all of the core framework. Starting Jan. 3rd you’ll be on a 24 hour schedule. You can take a nap every 6 hours for thirty minutes, you can eat anytime as long as you have someone bring it to your desk, your family can visit you for 1 hour on Sundays between 6am and 8am, your family can call you once a day for up to 5 minutes, we will put a portable toilet in the cube next to you so you don’t have to walk to far to the bathroom, please make arrangements for a dry cleaner to pick up and drop off your clothes once a week.

Any questions?
